Who I am
I'm Jen — a job strategist and career relocation consultant with 16 years of experience in B2B sales, recruitment, staffing, and professional development.
I've spent my career knowing exactly how hiring works, what recruiters want, and how careers are built. Now I apply that expertise to one specific problem — Americans who want to live and work in Europe and can't figure out how to make the employment piece actually happen.
Most expat resources will tell you where to move, how to get a visa, and what neighborhoods to consider. Nobody is solving the job. That's my lane.
I know which European markets are actively hiring English-speaking Americans right now. I know what a Dutch, German, or Portuguese recruiter needs to see that your American resume will never show them. I know which sectors have permanent labor shortages, which visa pathways support your specific career background, and how to position an American professional to compete and win in a European job market.
I have traveled to over a dozen countries and made the move permanent — we relocated from California to Utrecht, Netherlands, navigated the DAFT visa, and built a real working life here on a real budget.
That combination of 16 years of career strategy expertise and the lived experience of actually making this move is what makes Recovery to Travel different.
I work with Americans targeting European employment through freelance self-employment, sponsored roles, or remote work — at every stage from CV rewrite to job offer.
This is where the job piece gets solved.
